Tracy Meagher’s Ticket to Art Life-Changing Discovery Tracy Meagher is a mixed media digital collage artist and founding member of the Artyist Studio at Kamp Kilmer, an online art community. Her artistic journey began in an unexpected way - with a free movie ticket to see Top Gun Maverick in 2022. Seeing Val Kilmer in that film led her to discover his online art community, Kamp Kilmer, which completely changed her life. It was there that Tracy first realized she was an artist, thanks to the encouragement and support she received from the community. She believes this discovery was meant to happen, especially during a very difficult time in her life. Art as Therapy and Moving Forward After losing her mother in February 2021 and dealing with her own health problems for years, Tracy found herself at a breaking point. Art became the therapy she didn’t know she needed. While creating a piece to honor her mother, she realized she was finally moving forward with her life. One particularly meaningful artwork featured a skeleton positioned like a ballerina, which helped her see her mother’s death as a new beginning rather than just an ending. Though Val Kilmer passed away on April 1, 2025, Tracy hopes he knew the positive impact Kamp Kilmer had on her and many others. Her art has been exhibited in major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Times Square, Miami, and The World Trade Center. She continues to participate in collage challenges on Instagram and finds joy in creating art that helps her heal and grow. From Healing to High-Profile Shows Her art has gained significant recognition through numerous exhibitions, starting with Art Basel Miami in December 2022. She has been featured in major shows including the “115 Best Digital Artists of Our Generation” ex- hibit at The Oculus in New York’s World Trade Center, where her work was also published in an exclusive art book. Other notable exhibitions include the AWEDACITY Virtual Women’s Empowerment Summit, various mental health awareness shows, and galleries in Brooklyn and New York. Her work has been displayed in both physical and virtual spaces. She continues to participate in collage challenges on Instagram and finds joy in creating art that helps her heal and grow.
