Clyde's
A truck stop sandwich shop offers its formerly incarcerated kitchen staff a shot at redemption. Even as the shop’s callous owner tries to keep them under her thumb, the staff members are given purpose and permission to dream by their shared quest to create the perfect sandwich. Clyde’s was rst produced on Broadway in 2021/22.
The New York Times called Clyde’s “ (A) delightful new play. Though it’s still about dark things, including prison, drugs, homelessness and poverty, it somehow turns them into bright comedy.” (The New York Times). Clyde’s will be performed at Karamu’s Cleveland Foundation Jelliffe Theatre from September 22 through October 15, 2023.
Performances are Thursdays through Sundays and ticket prices range from $35 - $45. Student, senior, and group (20+) discounts available. For a complete schedule and tickets visit our website or call the Karamu House Box Ofce at 216-795-7077. (Source: ohio.org)
