Handmade Tamale and Salsa Workshop

550 E. Spring St., Columbus, OH 43216
In this hands-on class, you will explore the diversity of tamales. In this class, chef-instructor Shawnie Kelley focuses on the Mexican style of preparation, which includes making the masa (corn flour) dough by hand, assembling and steaming two types of savory tamales- cheese and beans in corn husks and pork with chiles in banana leaves. While the tamales are steaming, class will assemble a variety of sauces and salsa. Everyone enjoys their creations at the end of class with an included drink.
