Women's Victoria Woodhall- The Unsung Ohio Hero, presented by Dr. Judith Dann, Ph.D.

586 East Town Street, Columbus, OH 43215
Dr. Dann, Ph.D., Prof. of Ancient History and Lead Instructor in Classics in the Humanities Dept. at CSCC, has created a program about this remarkable woman's rights advocate.Victoria Woodhull (b. Homer, OH, 1838) rose from poverty to run for President in 1872, and along her sister, was one of the first women stockbrokers on Wall St. and the first women to own/publish a newspaper. Being too open about “private” issues in the Victorian era she became vilified and written out of history.
