Where do THEY fit in? Poetry Open Mic
ETC and ArtsWave Pride presents a Studio Series Special Edition: Open Mic Poetry Night!
Where do I fit in culturally?
Jaja’s African Hair Braiding is set in a Harlem hair braiding shop, offering stories of Black, femme, and immigrant experiences. This play celebrates Black hair as a symbol of identity and artistry. To conclude our series in partnership with ArtsWave Pride, we will host a Special Edition Studio Series Open Mic Poetry Night. We invite gender-fluid and LGBTQ+ poets to participate, using the prompt “Where Do I Fit In?” This event will be an evening of exploring self-expression and cultural pride while addressing how identity can intersect with cultural experiences.
This calendar listing is brought to you by Cincy A&E, the Cincinnati region's one-stop, online calendar for arts and entertainment events, powered by ArtsWave. (Source: ohio.org)
