Kari Gunter-Seymour is the Poet Laureate of Ohio, an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow, and the winner of the 2024 Legacy Book Award for poetry. She is the executive director of the Women of Appalachia Project and editor of its anthology series, Women Speak.
