The Silk Road: An exhibit of artifacts that moved across empires

The college’s Historic Costume and Textiles Collection presents a public exhibit of textile artifacts that gave the Silk Road its name. With support from Ohio State’s East Asian Studies Center, the display features Items that weave together the brilliant colors and feather-light textures of silks from China, India, the Islamic world and Europe. They tell the story of their travels across historic empires and time and include luxurious gowns, religious banners, brocades, saris and more.
