Sarah Kabot’s installations, sculptures, and collages respond to systems commonly believed to provide social and political stability but are inherently fallible: print journalism, memorials, architectural infrastructure. Her works join fractured photographic imagery with delicately manipulated and draped paper constructions, reflecting both the flimsiness of and the inevitable distortions that occur in popular recollection of significant public events.
