Marie Laurencin: Sapphic Paris

Beginning in the early 20th century, French artist Marie Laurencin created a unique pictorial world that placed women at the center of modern art. Organized by the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, Sapphic Paris is the first major US exhibition of Laurencin’s work in over 30 years and was hailed as one of the world’s top exhibitions in 2023 by Hyperallergic.
