Beck Series: Writer Sophie Lewis

The Beck Series welcomes writer Sophie Lewis. Lewis is the author of “Full Surrogacy Now: Feminism Against Family” (2019), “Abolish the Family: A Manifesto for Care and Liberation” (2022), and “Enemy Feminisms: TERFs, Policewomen, and Girlbosses Against Liberation” (2025). Lewis’s essays appear in venues such as n+1, Boston Review, The Nation, The Baffler, Mal, e-flux, The New York Times, and London Review of Books; their academic articles appear in journals such as Signs and Paragraph.
