FROM THE ARTIST:
I have gotten old. This is OK because now, since I have retired, I have time to do the things that were previously neglected due to time constraints. (This means I had to go to work all the time) I studied art in school, have taken various classes and have tried to put the images in my head into paintings and stained glass when possible. Now it is possible. There is no need to enumerate the shows and exhibits in which have participated. That is history. This is now. I can just hope that the work I currently produce brings pleasure to or, at least, interest from, the viewer.-Laura Brooks

ABOUT THE SHOW:
People have probably told stories since the beginning of language. The natural world surrounding them was the theme of many stories that explained the “way things were.” The natural world and the world of humans intertwined in these stories becoming myths that lasted because the themes were common to much of their lives. These myths also added another element to the ordinary, taking people out of daily life and expanding their imaginary world.
