Melvin Van Peebles Symposium

March 27-29, 2025: The second Melvin Van Peebles Symposium, featuring actress Erika Alexander as keynote speaker, exploring Black art and culture. The event is named for Van Peebles, a 1953 OWU graduate and accomplished filmmaker whose work broke through boundaries of race and gender. Additional presenters include Chef Bryant Terry and visual artists Alicia Brown and Lance Johnson with dancer Candace Igeleke. General admission tickets are $135 per person.
