Young Adult Lab: Painterly Collage with Chloe Greenberg

44 E. 6th Sreet, Cincinnati, OH 45202
Join us every Thursday in the Creative Learning Center on the 6th floor of the CAC for Young Adult Lab, a free drop-in art making program!

In the Painterly Collage Workshop, we will primarily be exploring shape, value, and texture by creating cut-paper collages out of premade texture sheets.
Utilizing photo references and analyzing what “shapes” we can see in the images, we can then cut those shapes out and create our own one-of-a-kind arrangements.
Heavily inspired by the art of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” author/illustrator Eric Carle, guests of any skill level can make their own unique collage.
This project will be lead by local artist Chloe Greenberg. Chloe Greenberg is a Cincinnati-based picture book illustrator and collage artist. After her college career at Herron School of Art and Design, she illustrated “My Autistic Mama” by Kati Hirschy and “In My Own Voice” by Sandy Sasso. Chloe’s energetic illustrations, featuring many outdoor scenes and flowing compositions, draw inspiration from her profound love of nature and her experience as a teenage musician and songwriter.
When Chloe isn’t making art, you may find her bird watching at her local park, going to concerts with friends, attending local puppet shows, or watching movies.
For the program, artists and educators on hand to assist. Supplies and snacks will be provided by the CAC.

This project is supported by the generosity of tens of thousands of contributors to the annual ArtsWave Campaign, the Cincinnati region's primary source for arts funding.
