The Ohio History Connection has announced its 2025 Ohio History Fund grant recipients, awarding a total of $189,660 to 12 community history organizations across the state. This marks the 13th year of the competitive matching grants program, which is funded by voluntary taxpayer contributions through Ohio’s income tax return forms. The grants will support a variety of projects aimed at preserving and sharing Ohio’s rich history, from restoring historic buildings and artifacts to developing new public programming and digital resources.
Among the recipients are projects such as the Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation’s expansion of its Brewing Heritage Trail app, the City of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Parks’ restoration of historic bronze park entrance signs, and the Lakeside Heritage Society’s floor restoration of its Heritage Hall Museum. Other grants will fund roof replacement at Karamu House, masonry repair at Ferris House, and exterior wood and window repairs at the Marion Women’s Club & Home. The Ohio History Connection representatives will be visiting the grant recipients throughout March and April for check presentations.
