DANCECleveland has announced its highly anticipated 2025-2026 Performance Series, marking the organization’s 69th year of presenting modern and contemporary dance in Northeast Ohio. The season, commencing with a Community Dance Day and Student Showcase on July 26, 2025, will feature four distinct American modern dance companies at Playhouse Square. This curated series aims to showcase a spectrum of contemporary dance, from established pioneers to emerging choreographic voices, promising an inspiring and diverse artistic experience for audiences.
The performance lineup includes the return of audience favorite MOMIX with their unique adaptation of “Alice” on October 11, 2025, followed by Cleveland native and acclaimed choreographer Dianne McIntyre’s “In The Same Tongue” on November 15, 2025. The season will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic Martha Graham Dance Company on January 31, 2026, and will conclude with the Ohio premiere of YY Dance Company, known for its fusion of contemporary and traditional Chinese movement, on April 25, 2026.
Beyond the main stage performances, DANCECleveland is committed to its mission of community engagement and education. The organization will offer free master classes with visiting artists, educational residencies, workshops, artist talks, and other community-focused activities throughout Northeast Ohio. Season subscriptions are currently available, with individual tickets going on sale July 1, 2025. This season underscores DANCECleveland’s dedication to enriching the cultural landscape by bringing world-class modern and contemporary dance to the region.
