Playhouse Square announced its 2026-2027 KeyBank Broadway Series on Wednesday, March 25, with seven productions running from September 2026 through September 2027.
The season opens with Death Becomes Her, which begins technical rehearsals in Cleveland before launching its multi-year North American tour on September 12. The Tony Award-winning musical comedy, based on the 1992 film, runs through October 3 at Connor Palace. Playhouse Square President and CEO Craig Hassall noted that Broadway producers continue to bring shows to Cleveland for their national tour launches.
Other titles in the season include the ABBA jukebox musical Mamma Mia!; BOOP! The Musical, based on the Betty Boop character; Maybe Happy Ending, winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical; Buena Vista Social Club, set in Havana and running July 27–August 15, 2027; and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the only non-musical in the series, closing the season August 24–September 12, 2027.
