The Cleveland Orchestra announced on March 13, 2026, the programs for its 2026 Blossom Music Festival and Summers at Severance seasons, featuring conductor Brett Mitchell returning for a third consecutive summer at Blossom Music Center and a wide range of orchestral and pops programming at Severance Music Center through the summer months.
Among the highlights at Blossom, Mitchell will lead the orchestra in live-to-film performances of John Williams’s score for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12 at 7 p.m., with the film projected on screen as the orchestra performs. The 2026 Blossom season runs from late June through August at the outdoor amphitheater in Cuyahoga Falls.
The orchestra also announced the appointment of five new string players. Violinist Elizabeth Fayette joins as First Associate Concertmaster in May, and Philip Marten assumes the role of Associate Concertmaster in August. Zhan Shu, a first violinist with the orchestra since 2018, was appointed Assistant Concertmaster and began serving in the role in January. Dustin Wilkes-Kim joins the second violin section and Gabriel Napoli joins the viola section, both in May.
