Conductor Brett Mitchell will lead The Cleveland Orchestra in live performances of John Williams’s score for “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” at the 2026 Blossom Music Festival. The concerts are set for July 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. at Blossom Music Center, with the film projected on screen as the orchestra performs. The announcement marks Mitchell’s third consecutive summer leading the ensemble at Blossom.
Mitchell has collaborated with The Cleveland Orchestra for more than a decade, joining as assistant conductor in the 2013–14 season and conducting more than 150 performances with the ensemble. Last summer, he led the orchestra in a corresponding live concert pairing Williams’s score with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” He currently serves as music director of the Pasadena Symphony and Pops and artistic director of the Sunriver Music Festival.
The Harry Potter performances are part of the Cleveland Orchestra’s broader summer season at Blossom, which also includes classical programs, a concert marking the America 250 anniversary, and a performance featuring singer Idina Menzel. Blossom Music Center is located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Tickets are available through the Cleveland Orchestra’s website.
