Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati has announced its 41st season, a six-production lineup centered on themes of self-discovery. The season, which opens in September 2026 under Producing Artistic Director D. Lynn Meyers, features one world premiere, three regional premieres, and one returning production, spanning musical comedy, drama, and family programming at the Ensemble’s venue in the heart of Cincinnati.
The season opens September 5–27 with Corner of the Sky: The Music of Stephen Schwartz, a world premiere theatrical celebration of the Grammy- and Academy Award-winning composer’s six-decade songbook, conceived by CCM alumnus Scott Coulter. It is followed in October by Mrs. Mannerly, Jeffrey Hatcher’s autobiographical comedy set in 1967 Steubenville, Ohio, which features two cast members reprising roles from a previous sold-out run. The holiday slot goes to Cinderella (December 9–30), a new musical adaptation with book by Joseph McDonough.
The second half of the season brings three regional premieres: Lucy Kirkwood’s The Children (January 30–February 21, 2027), a drama about retired nuclear physicists facing moral accountability; Dominique Morisseau’s jazz-infused noir Paradise Blue (March 20–April 11, 2027), set in 1949 Detroit; and Cincinnati native Theresa Rebeck’s Bad Dates: End Game (May 8–30, 2027), a sequel to her off-Broadway hit. Season subscriptions are available by calling (513) 421-3555. The season is presented with support from the LKC Foundation.
