The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program will present its 2026 Graduate Showcase on Thursday, April 30, at the Roe Green Theatre in Cleveland. The showcase features eight graduating actors who will perform an evening of scenes before traveling to New York City for industry presentations.
The cohort — Madalyn Baker, Byron Johnson, Brendan Lowry, Christina McSheffrey, Calder Meis, Brianna Miller, Meredith Nelson, and Adam Ortega — graduates together as a class every two years. Directors Erica Jensen and David Vegh lead the production, with Don Carrier serving as producer. The actors recently appeared in Cleveland Play House productions of “Our Town,” “Primary Trust,” and “Tartuffe,” as well as the program’s own staging of “Much Ado About Nothing.”
Following the Cleveland performance, the cohort will present for industry representatives in New York City. The CWRU/CPH MFA Acting Program is a partnership between Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Play House, one of the country’s longest-running professional theater companies.
