The Cleveland Museum of Art has issued a call for artists for “Lake Effect: Artists from Cleveland Now,” a juried regional exhibition marking the museum’s 110th anniversary. The show is scheduled to run July 9 through November 22, 2026, at Transformer Station, CMA’s satellite gallery in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland.

Artists working in all media within a seven-county region — Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit — are eligible to apply. The submission deadline is April 24; there is no entry fee. CMA staff will jury the exhibition. Submissions can be made at lakeeffect-artists-fromclevelandnow.artcall.org.

Museum officials described the exhibition as an opportunity to take stock of current artistic activity in the region and present it in a high-profile venue. They distinguished it from the institution’s historic May Show, a competitive regional survey that ran from 1919 to 1993 before being discontinued. The 110th anniversary year also includes a major Andrew Wyeth retrospective and exhibitions on Édouard Manet and Berthe Morisot.
