Know Theatre of Cincinnati has announced its 29th season, themed “Redemption & Hope,” under Producing Artistic Director Bridget Leak and Managing Director Ri Moodie. The season runs from September 2026 through June 2027 and includes six MainStage productions and the 24th annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival.
The season opens with the regional premiere of Bess Wohl’s Make Believe (September 10–26, 2026), in which four siblings confront childhood memories in their family home. December brings the return of the local comedy Die Hard is a Christmas Movie (December 3–20, 2026), written by Cincinnati playwrights A.J. Baldwin and Alexx Rouse. In early 2027, the company presents the regional premiere of Samuel D. Hunter’s Grangeville (February 11–27), which explores forgiveness between estranged half-brothers, followed by the world premiere musical Wuthering: A Musical on the Moors (April 2–18, 2027), Hannah Gregory’s adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel.
Know Theatre’s ongoing new works series, SERIALS Season 17, runs January through March 2027, with five episodes of plays by local writers and audience voting determining a full production run. The 24th annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival closes the season June 4–19, 2027, presenting more than 40 shows across 170 performances. Season subscriptions for four MainStage productions are priced at $275; single tickets are $38, with discounts for arts workers and Welcome Thursday performances.
