The Columbus Jazz Orchestra will close its 2025–26 season with The Loren Lounge, a three-performance concert series featuring New York vocalist Paul Loren at the Southern Theatre in downtown Columbus. Performances are scheduled for Friday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, May 3 at 3:00 p.m. The Sunday matinee will be preceded by a 2:00 p.m. set from the Columbus Youth Jazz Program.

Bandleader Byron Stripling will lead the orchestra through a program drawn from the jazz and pop standards catalog: music associated with Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, and Ray Charles. Loren, who has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and has performed at historic Sun Studio in Memphis, brings a contemporary vocal approach to the classic material. CEO Katy Coy described the concert as “a celebration of the golden age of jazz and pop with a fresh, contemporary voice.”

Tickets range from $46.98 to $106.06 and are available through jazzartsgroup.org or by phone at 614-469-0939 through the CBUSArts box office. Season subscriptions for the 2026–27 season are also on sale. The Southern Theatre is located at 21 E. Main Street in Columbus.
