The Columbus Symphony appointed two senior leaders during its 75th anniversary season. Jonathan Parrish joined as Vice President of Artistic Planning and Programs, and Jacob Pope-McEntire was named General Manager.
Parrish will coordinate season programming with Music Director Rossen Milanov and oversee the Education Department. He previously served as Vice President of Artistic and Orchestra Operations at the Buffalo Philharmonic. He holds degrees from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University and James Madison University.
Pope-McEntire will oversee stage management, personnel, the music library, and community engagement. He previously served as Executive Director of the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs in Colorado Springs. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University and a master’s from the University of British Columbia. Both positions were filled through national searches, according to CEO Maureen O’Brien.
