The Cleveland Orchestra is opening its doors for vocalists of all ages to audition for its renowned choral ensembles. Audition appointments are now available for The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, the Blossom Festival Chorus, The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, and The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choruses. These prestigious groups will perform alongside the orchestra in a season filled with significant choral works and beloved holiday traditions.
Auditions are scheduled throughout April and May, with specific dates varying by chorus. The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and Blossom Festival Chorus will hold auditions on May 18, 20, and 21. The Youth Chorus auditions are set for April 30, May 7, and May 8, while the Children’s Chorus and Children’s Preparatory Chorus auditions will take place from May 6 to 8. Interested candidates are encouraged to schedule their appointments online, with specific requirements for each chorus detailed on the orchestra’s website.
The 2025-26 season promises to be a landmark year for the choruses. The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus will be featured prominently, including the U.S. premiere of Bernd Richard Deutsch’s ‘Urworte’ and performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Handel’s ‘Messiah,’ and Britten’s ‘War Requiem.’ The Blossom Festival Chorus will perform Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’ and provide vocals for Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ score. The Youth and Children’s Choruses will also have significant performance opportunities throughout the season.
