The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) has released its listings for October 2022, featuring several new exhibitions and a variety of public programs. Among the highlights is the opening of “Tales of the City: Drawing in the Netherlands from Bosch to Bruegel” on October 9, showcasing a diverse range of drawings from the Northern Renaissance. This exhibition, running through January 8, 2023, offers rarely seen works from the Albertina Museum in Vienna alongside pieces from the CMA’s collection, exploring themes of urbanization, commerce, and societal issues.

In addition to new exhibitions, the museum is continuing several notable displays, including “Impressionism to Modernism: The Keithley Collection,” which features a significant gift of European and American paintings, drawings, and decorative arts. The museum is also hosting “FRONT International 2022: Oh, Gods of Dust and Rainbows,” a contemporary art triennial with installations across multiple venues, including the CMA. Throughout the month, the museum will offer a robust schedule of events, from lunchtime lectures and musical performances to a fine print fair and hands-on art-making workshops at the CMA Community Arts Center.
