The Cleveland Museum of Art has announced its lineup of exhibitions and events for September 2022. The centerpiece of the month is the opening of “Impressionism to Modernism: The Keithley Collection” on September 11, featuring over 100 works of art from the private collection of Joseph P. and Nancy F. Keithley, which was gifted to the museum.
Other exhibitions continuing through September include “The New Black Vanguard: Photography between Art and Fashion,” “FRONT International 2022: Oh, Gods of Dust and Rainbows,” “Cycles of Life: The Four Seasons Tapestries,” “Text and Image in Southern Asia,” “The Medieval Top Seller: The Book of Hours,” “Japan’s Floating World,” “Creating Urgency: Modern and Contemporary Korean Art,” “Escaping to a Better World: Eccentrics and Immortals in Chinese Art,” “Native North America,” “Ancient Andean Textiles,” “Arts of Africa,” and “Contemporary Installation.” The museum also has several on-site programs scheduled, including lectures, workshops, and a chalk festival.
