The Cleveland Museum of Art has announced its lineup of exhibitions and events for June 2022. Highlights include the continuation of “The New Black Vanguard: Photography between Art and Fashion,” which explores the intersection of art and fashion through vibrant portraits and conceptual imagery, and “Alberto Giacometti: Toward the Ultimate Figure,” showcasing the artist’s signature elongated figures in sculpture, painting, and drawing. Several other exhibitions focusing on diverse artistic traditions, including “Women in Print: Recent Acquisitions,” “Currents and Constellations: Black Art in Focus,” and “Medieval Treasures from Münster Cathedral,” will also be on display.
In addition to its extensive exhibitions, the museum will host a variety of programs. Events include an exhibition talk on “Cycles of Life: The Four Seasons Tapestries,” a lunchtime lecture on Hughie Lee-Smith, and the “Summer Arts Fest: Dance with Giants” on Wade Oval. The museum will also host its annual “Solstice 2022” celebration, featuring live music and access to special exhibitions.
