The Wexner Center for the Arts is set to present “Portal For(e) the Ephemeral Passage,” an interdisciplinary exhibition running from June 10 to August 14, 2022. This exhibition is the first of its kind to be curated for the center by an artist who has also received the Wexner Center Artist Residency Award, in this case, jaamil olawale kosoko. The project culminates a three-year collaboration between kosoko and the Wexner Center, which has previously led to performances, educational programming, and an award-winning short film.

“Portal For(e) the Ephemeral Passage” aims to guide audiences in imagining new worlds through installations and a series of interconnected events. Drawing inspiration from Black feminist thought, queer theory, and rituals of intimacy and wellness, the exhibition will feature new works by artists including kosoko, nora chipaumire, Jennifer Harge, Devin Drake, Dana Michel, Jasmine Murrell, and Keioui Keijaun Thomas. Complementing the installations, the exhibition will include community events, a film series, performances, and an Instagram Live series, with opening events scheduled for June 9.
