The Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) has opened its annual Holiday Junction exhibition, marking a significant milestone with the 75th anniversary of the beloved Duke Energy Holiday Trains. The exhibition, which opened its doors on November 11, 2021, features the traditional miniature train displays, enhanced with LEGO creations, historical train exhibits, and festive winter scenes. Tickets are limited and require advance reservation.
This year’s Holiday Junction continues a long-standing Cincinnati tradition, with generations of families returning to experience the wonder of the miniature trains. The exhibition showcases not only the Duke Energy Holiday Trains but also historical models from the Carlisle & Finch Company, dating back over 100 years, alongside classic Lionel train layouts. The festive display also includes intricate LEGO builds by Brickopolis, featuring characters and scenes from popular franchises, and a holiday scavenger hunt within the garden railway.
Adding to the holiday cheer, Santa Claus will be making his arrival on November 26, 2021, and will be available for visits. Complementing the exhibition, the OMNIMAX® Theater will be screening the classic film “Rocky Mountain Express.” Holiday Junction featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains will run through January 3, 2022, offering a full season of seasonal entertainment for visitors of all ages.
