The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), in collaboration with the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA), has announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2021 Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson Fellowship. This fellowship, established to honor the legacy of Columbus artist Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson, is designed to recognize and support exemplary work by African-American visual artists based in Columbus and Franklin County.
The fellowship offers a $15,000 unrestricted grant to a professional African-American visual artist. In addition to the financial award, the 90-day program includes facilitated community outreach activities and the opportunity for a public presentation or exhibition. The deadline for applications is June 15, 2021. This initiative aims to nurture the next generation of artists, echoing Robinson’s own commitment to mentoring emerging talent.
