The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) has announced the launch of its “Artists Elevated” endowment campaign, a significant initiative aimed at providing sustained financial support for individual artists in the Columbus community. The campaign seeks to grow the GCAC’s existing endowment to at least $5 million over the next five years, ensuring a more robust and consistent investment in the careers of local artists.
As part of the campaign’s launch, the GCAC will award two unrestricted grants of $20,000 each to Columbus-based artists who have been working professionally for a minimum of three years. These awards are designed to make a substantial impact on an artist’s career trajectory. Recipients will be selected by a national jury through a nomination and application process, with winners to be announced in November.
