Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson was a Columbus-based visual artist whose work explored African American history, culture, and the human experience through paintings, drawings, sculpture, and mixed-media constructions. She worked with materials including mud, sticks, buttons, cloth, and found objects. Her body of work spans five decades and includes large-scale public installations. Robinson received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2004 and her work is in the collections of the Columbus Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, and other major institutions.
