The Toledo Museum of Art held a virtual public town hall on April 16, 2026, to update the community on the progress of its ongoing Reinstallation Project. Director and CEO Adam Levine presented the latest developments and answered questions from the public via Zoom. The session was free and open to all without registration.
Beginning April 20, 2026, additional gallery spaces in the museum’s East Wing of the Green Building closed temporarily to allow construction to advance. Affected areas include the Classic Court, Wolfe Gallery, and Galleries 1, 4, 6, and 7, as well as the Green Room, Community Gallery, and Little Theater on the ground level. The closures are part of a larger capital project that will create a new ground-level accessible entrance on the north side of the building, expanded exhibition space, and improved visitor amenities.
Visitors can still access the Glass Pavilion, Family Center, Education Wing, TMA Café, and the Georgia and David K. Welles Sculpture Garden during construction. Several Green Building galleries also remain open, including those featuring the exhibition “Beeple Studios: TRANSIENT BLOOM.” The Toledo Museum of Art, founded in 1901, holds a collection of more than 25,000 artworks and was named the Best Art Museum in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the second consecutive year. Admission and parking are free. More information is available at toledomuseum.org.
