The King Arts Complex in Columbus has named Corey Favor as its new president and chief executive officer, the organization’s board of trustees announced February 24, 2026. Favor, 46, assumed the role on April 8. He succeeds Regina Campbell, who left the organization in July 2025 following a suspension during an internal investigation. Campbell had been named president and CEO in September 2024.
Favor most recently served as senior director of community engagement, arts and culture at Orange Barrel Media, a position he held since 2020, where he developed partnerships across arts, education, nonprofit, business, and cultural organizations. He previously held roles in product management at OhioHealth and in the Office of Marketing and Communications at Ohio State University. A Near East Side resident, Favor chairs the Gateway Film Center advisory board and serves on the boards of Columbus College of Art and Design, the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation, CreativeOhio, and Atlanta Contemporary.
“My plan is to build on that history and that legacy,” Favor said. “I want to expand its impact and its relevance, not just for now, but for the next generation — both locally and nationally.” The King Arts Complex, which opened in 1987 and has long served as a center for Black arts and culture in Columbus, reported $1.77 million in revenue and $1.67 million in expenses in its 2024 tax filing. Favor described the organization’s financial position as “strong and stable.”
