Know Theatre of Cincinnati has announced its Season 29 lineup, built around four MainStage productions including a world premiere musical and two regional premieres. The season runs September 2026 through April 2027, and the theater’s leadership describes the programming as exploring themes of redemption and hope through contemporary American playwrights.
The season opens with the regional premiere of Make Believe by Bess Wohl (September 10–26, 2026), directed by Bridget Leak, about four siblings returning to their childhood home to confront unresolved trauma. That is followed by Die Hard is a Christmas Movie by A.J. Baldwin and Alexx Rouse (December 3–20, 2026), the theater’s second best-selling production to date, and the regional premiere of Samuel D. Hunter’s Grangeville (February 11–27, 2027), centering on two estranged half-brothers settling their late mother’s estate. The season closes with the world premiere of Wuthering: A Musical on the Moors by Hannah Gregory (April 2–18, 2027), a folk musical set in 1787 Yorkshire directed by Caitlin McWethy.
Additional programming includes octKNOWber Nights in October 2026, SERIALS Season 17 running January through March 2027, and the 24th Cincinnati Fringe Festival, June 4–19, 2027, featuring more than 40 shows and 170 performances. MainStage subscriptions start at $275, with single tickets at $38. The theater also offers discounted tickets through its Welcome Thursdays and Arts and Service Industry Monday programs.
