Great Lakes Theater has announced a six-show 2026-27 season at the Hanna Theatre in Cleveland’s Playhouse Square district, opening in September with a Shakespeare romance and closing in May 2027 with an Oscar Wilde comedy.

The season launches September 25 with The Winter’s Tale, running through October 11, followed by Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (October 23–November 8). The second half of the season begins February 5 with Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors (through February 21), followed by the Tony Award-winning musical Les Misérables in a new production (March 12–April 4, 2027), and concludes with Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest (April 23–May 9, 2027).
