ArtsWave is concluding its annual community campaign with a focused push during Teacher Appreciation Week, emphasizing how the public can support teachers by enriching student experiences. The initiative centers on the message that $20 can send a student on an arts field trip, providing teachers with tools to enhance their classrooms and connect students to learning beyond school. This effort aims to make it easy for individuals to contribute to tangible educational opportunities.

Through ArtsWave’s More Arts, More Kids initiative, approximately 20,000 students annually participate in free arts field trips, attending performances and exhibitions at regional arts organizations. This program aims to bring classroom lessons to life and foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Several school districts, including Cincinnati Public Schools, are participating, ensuring that all 1-6 grade students will have the opportunity to experience an arts field trip.

To further incentivize support, Cintas Cares is offering a matching gift to double the impact of donations up to $25,000, enabling more students to benefit from the program. ArtsWave encourages the community to participate by making a gift or sharing the campaign message. The organization highlights that access to arts field trips has declined nationwide, making initiatives like More Arts, More Kids crucial for restoring these opportunities in the Cincinnati region.
