ArtsWave has announced a $25,000 matching gift from Cintas Cares to bolster its “More Arts, More Kids” initiative. This significant contribution aims to double the impact of community donations, expanding access to arts field trips for students across the Cincinnati region. The initiative is part of ArtsWave’s annual community campaign for the arts and helps move towards a $250,000 goal.

The “More Arts, More Kids” program provides nearly 20,000 students annually with curriculum-based arts field trips at no cost to their schools or families. This funding is particularly crucial as a recent federal survey indicates only 54% of U.S. public schools report offering such experiences. With the Cintas Cares match, every $20 donated will now support two students’ participation, effectively doubling the reach of each contribution.

Anna Coutts, senior manager of community engagement and executive director of the Cintas Cares Foundation, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “At Cintas, we believe the arts play an important role in helping young people grow, express themselves and see new possibilities.” Shauna Murphy, superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools, also highlighted the program’s value, noting its ability to remove financial barriers and ensure students have meaningful arts experiences that support their learning and development.
