ArtsWave has officially launched its 2026 Community Campaign, themed “Discover More,” marking its 99th year of supporting the arts in the Cincinnati region. The campaign aims to fuel over 150 arts organizations, artists, and projects through collective community investment. James Zimmerman, partner-in-charge at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, will chair the initiative, which officially kicked off on February 4, 2026, with support from civic and education leaders.

The campaign launch highlights Cincinnati’s continued national recognition as an arts-vibrant community, ranking in the top 5% nationwide according to SMU DataArts. The “Discover More” theme emphasizes fostering deeper connections within neighborhoods, creating opportunities for students, and enhancing the region’s cultural richness. ArtsWave President & CEO Alecia Kintner described the theme as an invitation to explore the arts’ role in building community and pride.

Early momentum for the 2026 campaign is significant, with thousands of donors already pledging over $2.3 million. Notable contributions include a $99,000 challenge from Western & Southern Financial Group and a $25,000 lead gift for the “More Arts, More Kids” initiative, which aims to fund arts field trips for all first- through sixth-grade students in Cincinnati Public Schools. The campaign runs through May 19, 2026, and encourages donations through various channels, including workplace giving and direct contributions.
