The Cincinnati Art Museum has announced it will host its inaugural Cincinnati Art Award Gala on Saturday, October 18, 2025. For the first time, the museum’s annual gala and its Cincinnati Art Award will be combined into a single celebration. This event aims to recognize community leaders who champion the arts while raising crucial support for the museum’s exhibitions and programs.
This year’s honorees are Rhonda and Larry Sheakley, recognized for their significant contributions to Cincinnati’s cultural landscape and their extensive support of various arts and community organizations. Their past support, including a substantial gift that helped the museum surpass its fundraising goal for the ‘A New View’ campaign, has been transformative. In recognition of their commitment, the museum will officially name its renowned Cincinnati Wing in their honor. This wing, established in 2003, is dedicated to showcasing Cincinnati’s rich art history.
The evening promises a red-carpet reception, followed by a gourmet dining experience and presentations. Guests will have opportunities to enjoy handcrafted cocktails, live music, and dancing. Funds raised from the gala through sponsorships and ticket sales will directly benefit the museum’s world-class exhibitions and educational initiatives, ensuring continued access to art and culture for the community.
