The Cincinnati Art Museum hosted Art in Bloom from April 26-28, 2024, a three-day event pairing floral arrangements with works in the museum’s galleries and grounds. Nearly 60 floral artists from across North America participated, including Amsterdam-based floral photographer and sugar artist Natasja Sadi, who drove the event’s theming with arrangements inspired by Dutch-master paintings.

For the first time since the event began in 2001, a jury selected the participating artists after reviewing hundreds of applications. Jury members included Christopher Griffin (Plant Kween), Kevin Hart of Hart and Cru, John Hinger of Quince and Quinn, Teruko Nesbitt of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, and local artist Michael Thompson. Ann M. Keeling of Cristofoli Keeling chaired the event.

Programming included performances by the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus, a drag brunch featuring The Lady Phaedra, and a tea party in partnership with The BonBonerie. General admission and parking were free; some events required tickets. Art in Bloom is a biennial fundraiser for the museum.
