The Canton Museum of Art (CMA) has announced the launch of its new Digital Guide, available on the free Bloomberg Connects mobile app. This initiative, made possible through a partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies, aims to enhance visitor engagement by providing digital access to the museum’s collection, exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes content.
The Bloomberg Connects app allows users to explore CMA’s offerings and those of over 900 other arts and cultural institutions globally. Visitors can use the app to plan their visits, learn about the museum’s American art and contemporary ceramics collection, and access educational materials. The app also features accessibility options like image zoom, screen reader compatibility, and multiple font sizes, supporting content in over 50 languages.
Max Barton, Director & CEO of CMA, stated that the digital guide is a crucial step in making art and its inspiration accessible to a wider audience, both locally and internationally. The museum, recognized for its focus on American art and its influential exhibitions, hosts over 50,000 visitors annually and offers extensive educational programs. The CMA is also celebrating its 90th Anniversary in 2025.
