ArtsWave has announced the milestone fifth anniversary season of “Flow, An African American Arts Experience,” featuring a cross-venue subscription series called the “Flow Pass.” The 2025-26 season will showcase four premier Black-centered arts events across Cincinnati, spanning visual art, orchestral music, theater, and opera. The Flow Pass offers premium access to these events, including an all-inclusive pre-show “Flow Social” with drinks and light bites, for $200, with a discounted rate of $185 for ArtsWave Circle of African American Leaders for the Arts members.

The season kicks off on October 17, 2025, at the Contemporary Arts Center with “Marcus Leslie Singleton: Next Steps,” a solo exhibition of the artist’s paintings. On January 17, 2026, subscribers will experience “American Voices” with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr. The series continues on April 24, 2026, with August Wilson’s “The Piano Lesson” at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and concludes on July 9, 2026, with Cincinnati Opera’s “Lalovavi,” an Afrofuturist adventure.

“Flow” began in 2020 to complement and expand the region’s multicultural arts offerings, supporting professional African American artists and fostering a diverse, culturally adventurous audience. The series is presented by ArtsWave with support from numerous area businesses, foundations, and individuals. Subscriptions for the Flow Pass are available at artswave.org/flowpass.
