ArtsWave has announced the distribution of $316,916 through 56 Catalyzing Impact grants, aiming to energize the arts and cultural landscape of the Greater Cincinnati region. These grants, part of ArtsWave’s annual funding initiatives, will support a diverse range of creative projects, from innovative performances to community-driven art installations. The funding was approved by ArtsWave’s Board of Directors following a competitive review process, with the Catalyzing Impact grant program being ArtsWave’s most accessible funding opportunity, open to all nonprofits with arts projects aligning with the organization’s Blueprint for Collective Action.
The awarded grants will fuel creative endeavors across the region, with a specific focus on projects that foster a vibrant and inclusive arts community. Alecia Kintner, President & CEO of ArtsWave, emphasized the grants’ role in supporting projects from youth education to senior engagement, highlighting the arts’ importance in connecting the community and driving economic growth. Notably, five projects are based in Warren County, reflecting a pilot campaign strategy to engage donors within their local communities.
The Catalyzing Impact grant program receives partial support from the National Endowment for the Arts and is primarily funded by the annual ArtsWave Community Campaign, which aims to raise over $12.5 million to support the arts sector’s recovery and growth. ArtsWave has been a primary funder of the region’s arts since 1927, raising millions annually to foster a vibrant economy and connected community through its strategic investments.
