ArtsWave’s Board of Directors approved 49 Catalyzing Impact grants totaling $326,690 on March 13, 2024, funding arts and cultural projects across the Cincinnati region. The program, supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and ArtsWave’s annual community campaign, is the organization’s only grant open to all nonprofits proposing arts projects.
Funded projects include the CPS International Jazz Festival (Activities Beyond the Classroom, $10,000), AfriFest Cincy 2024 (African Professionals Network, $10,000), additional music lessons for Shroder High School orchestra students (Ben Carlson-Berne Scholarship Fund, $9,975), and Neighborhood Play 2024 (Back2Back Ministries, $5,000), among 45 others. Individual grants ranged from $1,700 to $10,000.
Projects were selected based on their alignment with ArtsWave’s Blueprint for Collective Action goals. The Catalyzing Impact program is funded through ArtsWave’s annual campaign, which set a 2024 goal of surpassing $12.5 million in total regional arts fundraising.
