SPACES has announced the launch of its new artist residency program, titled ‘Echo.’ This initiative aims to support visual artists in developing on-site projects that engage with significant issues and connect with communities in Northeastern Ohio.
The ‘Echo’ program will host two artists each quarter: one from Northeast Ohio and one from outside the region, fostering a cohort for idea exchange and networking. Artists will be selected based on their innovative approaches and their ability to propose projects that advance their artistic practice while resonating with the local area. Residents will receive an honorarium, production budget, lodging, and their work will culminate in a public exhibition at SPACES.
Applications for the 2027 residencies are now open and will close on February 10, 2026. The program is open to visual artists working in any medium, both domestically and internationally.
