The Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati has announced the appointment of Lacy Schutz as its Interim Executive Director, effective May 18. Schutz brings nearly two decades of experience in leading cultural institutions, focusing on advancing artistic vision while ensuring organizational and financial stability.

Schutz’s previous roles include Managing Director at ATHR Gallery in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Executive Director of the Shaker Museum in New York. At the Shaker Museum, she successfully stabilized operations, rebuilt community trust, and initiated a capital campaign. She also held senior positions at the Museum of the City of New York.

The CAC Board of Trustees expressed enthusiasm for Schutz’s arrival, citing her understanding of the institution’s unique identity and her experience in strengthening its foundation. Schutz stated her commitment to building upon CAC’s legacy of courageous programming and ensuring its continued role as a space for artistic innovation.
