The Greater Columbus Arts Council approved $13,340,848 in grants to 40 arts and cultural organizations in its 2025 funding cycle. The awards include 22 Operating Support grants totaling $12,637,222 and 18 General Support grants totaling $703,626. Operating Support grants fund the core operations of Columbus’s largest cultural institutions, while General Support targets mid-size organizations.
GCAC has noted that 2026 grant amounts will be lower than the previous cycle due to changing economic conditions. The council also awarded $1,176,236 in separate Project Support grants to 74 nonprofit organizations, evaluated for the first time by a national jury of 28 panelists.
