Cuyahoga Arts & Culture announced on November 12 that it will distribute $12.9 million in grants to more than 300 nonprofit organizations in Cuyahoga County for 2026. The funding includes $11.4 million in general operating support for 152 organizations, with individual awards ranging from $5,000 to $1 million, and $901,977 in project support for 156 projects at $2,720 to $7,500 each.

The total represents an increase from the $10.75 million CAC awarded for 2025. The additional funding was made possible by a ballot measure approved by Cuyahoga County voters in November 2024 that extended the county’s cigarette tax supporting arts and culture through 2035.

“We are excited to make these grants to a mix of nonprofit organizations that includes everything from new, volunteer-led projects to cultural institutions that have been around for more than a century,” said executive director Jill M. Paulsen. Since its founding in 2006, CAC has invested more than $270 million in over 500 organizations across the county.
